Licence tag, and what a register can do with it

Inclusion rule. Shapes the licence field takes across the register. A shape that appears once is kept, because a single occurrence is what makes it worth naming. Order. From the cheapest shape to assess to the most expensive.
1Quoting the tag is the honest minimum
A tag can be quoted verbatim, dated and linked to the page it was read from. A summary of the terms cannot be, because the summary is the part a reader would rely on and the part that would be wrong.
So this column holds names and refuses paraphrase. That is a deliberate limit on what the register claims rather than an oversight.
2Tags change without announcements
Model cards are edited. A tag read on one day is a fact about that day, which is why every row in this register carries the date it was read alongside the value.
That is also why the register links the card rather than mirroring its text. A reader who needs certainty needs the live page, not a copy.
3How this column is actually populated
Nine values were read from a repository and six from a model card. The two places are edited through different processes and at different rates, which is why the entry records where it read the value as well as what the value was.
