Terms split by size against one document

CogVideoX is Apache 2.0 on the 2B and carries a separate project licence on the 5B. SkyReels-V2 applies skywork-license across its 1.3B, 5B and 14B variants. One family needs two checks, the other needs one. As of 2026-09-22.

Inclusion rule. Two families whose published values in this column lead to opposite decisions. A pair that happens to agree is not listed, because agreement is already visible on the column summary. Order. The column itself first, then its detail, then the columns that qualify it.

1The split is the trap and the uniform case is not

A reader who checks the CogVideoX badge and downloads the 5B has cleared the wrong document. A reader who checks skywork-license once has cleared every variant in that family.

Neither arrangement is more open. The split family offers a genuinely standard licence on one release, which the uniform family does not offer anywhere.

2Uniform terms across a wide hardware range

SkyReels publishes about 14.7GB for its 1.3B at 540P and around 51.2GB for its 14B at the same output. One licence therefore covers everything from a consumer card to a large one.

That breadth is the argument for reading the document carefully: it is the terms a hobbyist and a studio will both be operating under.

3What the split family gains

The 2B release under Apache 2.0 is the cheapest to run and the cheapest to clear, which makes it an unusually low-friction entry point. The 4GB FP16 figure belongs to that same release.

The alignment between the permissive half and the cheap half is a coincidence rather than a pattern, and it is worth noticing before assuming it holds elsewhere.
