1A count that describes three downloads

Distillation and fp8 quantisation do not change the nominal parameter count, so one figure covers all three builds. That is why the size column here has one value and the hardware column has none.

It is also why a benchmark against this family has to name the build. A distilled model is not the full model running faster; it behaves differently and was trained to.

2Publishing variants is a hardware answer

A vendor that ships an fp8 build has decided that memory is the binding constraint for a large part of its audience. That decision carries more information than a single minimum figure would.

What it does not carry is a number a reader can check their own card against. The register records no memory figure for this family because none is stated.

3The length claim rides on the same count

Up to 60 seconds is stated on the 13B, which is by a wide margin the longest figure in the register. Whether the distilled and fp8 builds reach the same length is not stated.
