Mochi 1 asks about 60GB on a single GPU

The repository states approximately 60GB of VRAM on a single GPU and recommends at least one H100. The output it buys is 480p, described as the current capability rather than as a limit of the design. As of 2026-09-12.

Mochi 1 in the hardware column, as publishedSixty gigabytes for 480p output is the least favourable memory-to-pixels ratio in the register, and both halves of it are the vendor's own.The memory statement as publishedAbout 60GB VRAM on asingle GPUAt least one H100 recommended480pDescribed as the current capabilityNo length recordedThe repository states a present resolution insteadThe output is the surprising half

Inclusion rule. The value this page is about, the detail the vendor attached to it, and the two columns that change how it should be read. A column the vendor left empty keeps its row and says so. Order. This column first, then its detail, then the two columns that qualify it.

1The ratio is what makes this row informative

Other releases in the register state similar memory figures for 720p or higher. Sixty gigabytes for 480p says something about this architecture that neither number says alone.

It is not a criticism. An early release documented honestly at the resolution it actually produces is more useful than a later one that states a size it reaches only sometimes.

2Recommending a card is a second statement

At least one H100 recommended is not the same claim as 60GB. It carries the numeric formats, the driver stack and the memory bandwidth the run was exercised against, none of which a gigabyte figure contains.

A card with 80GB of memory and an older architecture satisfies the number and not the recommendation. The register keeps both because they are different facts.

3The word approximately stays in the value

Rounding it away would turn a vendor's estimate into a specification. The repository hedged, and the register quotes the hedge.

Current capability is hedged in the same direction: it describes the release as it stood when the page was read, not a ceiling the weights cannot pass.
