Hardware: what a stated requirement covers

The hardware column holds whatever a repository states about running the weights, quoted with the command or setting it was stated for. The figures here run from four gigabytes to eighty, and one repository states both ends. Nothing in the column is derived. As of 2026-09-12.

Inclusion rule. Statements read from the repository that published the weights. A repository that gives no figure is recorded as giving none, never as a number inferred from its parameter count. Order. Alphabetical by family name.

1Every figure in this column belongs to a command

The cell records statements, not requirements in the abstract. Wan's repository describes its 5B release as running on a consumer 4090, turning out a five-second 720P clip in under nine minutes, and states at least 80GB of VRAM for other commands on the same page. Both are the vendor's own words about different work.

Keeping only one of the pair would mean choosing which half of the readers to mislead. So the command travels in the cell with the number, and the register never flattens the two into a single answer for the family, because flattening them means deciding what somebody intends to run before they have said.

2The ladder runs from a laptop card to a rented one

CogVideoX states from 4GB in FP16 on its 2B model, from 5GB in BF16 on the 5B and from 10GB on CogVideoX1.5-5B. HunyuanVideo states 60GB of peak memory at 720px1280px with 129 frames, and 45GB at the smaller size. Mochi 1 asks for roughly 60GB and recommends at least one H100.

That spread is why the word open settles nothing about whether a plan is feasible. The bottom of the ladder is a card somebody already owns and the top is a machine rented by the hour, and both sit under the same heading, in the same register, described by their own vendors.

3An unstated figure is recorded as unstated

LTX-Video states no minimum. That absence goes in the cell as an absence, rather than being filled from a forum post or worked out from the parameter count, because a derived figure cannot be rechecked against anything and a wrong one looks exactly like a right one until somebody provisions against it.

What that repository publishes instead is reduced builds: distilled and fp8 variants for lower memory and faster inference. That is a real statement about the range of machines the vendor expects, and it is the useful content of a cell that would otherwise be empty. The collected figures sit on requirements.
