Renting seconds against running your own card
Two hosted services publish what a second costs: Wan 3.0 seconds from about $0.06, and LTX-2.5 API seconds at $0.09 to $0.39. Both sell versions for which no weights are published. As of 2026-09-12.

1The comparison everybody wants is between two different products
Renting a second of the current generation against running an earlier one on your own card is not a like-for-like cost question. It is a choice between two products that happen to share a lineage, and presenting it as a price comparison hides that.
This register therefore does not publish a break-even point. Any such figure would have to assume the two sides are equivalent, which is the one thing the version column says they are not.
2Naming the version on the price list is what makes this checkable
One service prints the model and version next to the rate. That is why it can be placed against a repository at all; a service selling unnamed tiers could not appear in this register in any useful way.
It is a documentation property rather than a product virtue, and it happens to be the one that lets a buyer verify what they are renting.
3Same company, two products, is a normal arrangement
One entry here sells an API product under one name while its parent publishes an open model under another. Both are that company's work and they are not the same model, which makes it the clearest case in the register of a vendor running both arrangements at once.
A benchmark on the open weights does not describe the API, and an API price does not describe what the open weights cost to run. The register keeps them in separate columns for exactly that reason.
